I'm a city dweller, but I wasn't always that way. I was born in Texas and spent a majority of my life on military bases between Kentucky and Virginia, and came to the suburbs of Washington D.C. for college! After my husband and I got married in 2016, we've moved all over Northern VA and have recently settled down in Alexandria about a mile or two away from Mount Vernon. Wherever I find myself I try to take a bit of the southern hospitality I was raised on wherever I go.
I love looking for great natural light and thrive on capturing romantic and timeless imagery that will stand the test of time. I shoot both digital and still film, and all of my packages include final images from both cameras.
When I'm not shooting weddings or having a quiet evening with my husband Andrew and our cat Rey, you can find me under a comfy blanket sipping a caramel iced coffee or a cup of Harney & Sons tea, or planning my dream house from interior to exterior!
IT's NICE TO MEET YOU
Lauren was absolutely wonderful! She was attentive, patient, and very helpful. Our photos were amazing, and she ensured we were comfortable and happy throughout the whole process! So thankful!

I have a huge sweet tooth and have to have at least one small dessert a day! I'm not super picky, but in my opinion you just can't go wrong with a fresh-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookie. My husband and I regularly make these for our post-dinner Netflix treat!

ARE WE THE PERFECT FIT?
COFFEE OR TEA?
Up until a few months ago if you were to ask me my go-to beverage it would have been tea. But now, I think I'm becoming a coffee snob! I still love tea from my favorite brand Harney & Sons (sold in Target, but order online straight from them!!), but now I usually have a caramel iced coffee in my hand!

I LOVE to travel, but do you know I've never been outside of the US? I don't even have a passport yet! Don't worry, I am in the process of getting one, and I cannot WAIT to visit new places! My current list is England, Scotland, South Korea, Japan, and New Zealand! Don't even get me started on my US list!

Photography, to me, is not just about pretty pictures on an exciting day. The investment of photography is a constant and precious gift that allows you to reflect on the goodness of life's big and little moments frozen in time. You can view a scene and instantly remember the sounds, the feelings, and the emotions of being there. Or you can imagine what it must have been like in that moment as the subjects come alive in the frame.
Wedding photography visually encapsulates the feelings, emotions, and reasons you said "I do" in order to allow you to revisit them long after your wedding day ends. My goal is to provide an experience for my couples that captures and honors the value of their marriage on their wedding day and leaves them with imagery that will last a lifetime.
