YAY you're engaged! I'm sure your nerves are abuzz with all that needs to be planned. It's all very exciting but it can also be a bit overwhelming at times! My goal as a wedding photographer is to make this one aspect of wedding planning simple. Photography is more than just images on your wedding day, it's a significant part of your day! Most couples don't realize that wedding photographers are with you from the beginning of the day to the end, so it's important to find someone who makes you comfortable!

THE Lauren thompson experience

One way that I ensure that my brides and grooms have the BEST experience possible is through forming a relationship with them! A bride and groom should connect with their photographer, trust their photographer, and be excited about their work and the entire process with them! After booking, I love getting to know my clients through an engagement session that allows them to get comfortable in front of the camera before their big day! By the time their wedding day arrives, they feel more like friends than clients, and that creates a safe and relaxed environment for photography!

next step:

The first step in the booking process is to send me an inquiry through my contact form. After I send you some initial information, we can schedule a phone call to go through any questions you have. My favorite way to do this though is to take you out for a coffee or a treat!

We get to know each other
over a cup of coffee, glass of wine or sweet treat!

YAY! You're ready to book! At this time I'll send you a proposal of services that will outline everything you will get in the experience! Attached to this proposal of services is a contract and everything you need to make your payments online. So easy!

We make things official with a proposal of services, contract, and initial payment!

Once the contract is signed and initial payment is made, we schedule your engagement session! This is an hour and a half long session that allows us to get to know each other and prepare for your special day! I love these because you can see the excitement and joy of your engagement season through the images!

Love, laughter and time to be you at your engagement session.

During the planning process you can reach out to me as a resource! One way I help you is I'll send you a questionnaire about 2-3 months before your big day in order to create a timeline of your wedding day. You can use this document as you plan the logistics with your coordinator and it will save you a lot of stress!

I'm here to help make recommendations, coordinate timelines and more.

It's time to relax and CELEBRATE! I'll be with you every step of the way, so soak in the benefits of all your hard work because it will go by way too fast! The Wednesday following your wedding day, you get to relive the excitement and all of your favorite moments in a featured blog post on my blog!

The planning is over, and now it's time to say "I do!"

carmela & james

On October 26, 2019, Carmela and James celebrated their marriage with a vibrant autumn wedding featuring the season’s best tones and florals. I rarely get to photograph oranges and reds, and was absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to spend so much time with this color palette!

I first met Carmela, James, and their event planner Elizabeth at a coffee shop back in the beginning of the year, and we knew we were a good fit almost immediately...

jennifer & marouane

For many couples, marriage holds the odds that love has to battle with. For Jennifer and Marouane, the odds seemed stacked against them from the moment they met. It all started when Jennifer worked as an au pair in Paris, France for a short time. While she was abroad, she met and fell in love with Marouane. They knew they had something special from the beginning and kept dating even when Jenn moved back home to the United States...

shelby & rad

Everything about Shelby and Rad's wedding day was personal. Shelby wore her mother in-law’s vintage wedding dress with a pair of boots, floral veil, and a hat! One of her best friends created a one-of-a-kind, macrame, driftwood wall hanging for her ceremony (straight from her Pinterest board). After their first dance, performed by their family friends, Shelby switched into a white jumpsuit to party the night away. Their pup Sierra even made an appearance for photos!
